Azacitidine Tablets 300 mg

Azacitidine Tablets 300 mg

I am writing to you today about a medication that is used to treat a certain type of cancer (acute myeloid leukemia). The drug azacitidine is a chemotherapy drug that works by slowing or stopping the growth of cancer cells. This form of azacitidine should never be used instead of the injection form of this drug.

What are the instructions for using Azacitidine 300 Mg Tablets?

During each 28-day treatment cycle, you should take this medication by mouth with or without food as directed by your doctor. You should swallow the tablets whole. Take the tablets whole, without cutting, crushing, or chewing them. Your medical condition and response to treatment determine the dosage.

Other medication(s) may be prescribed for you to take 30 minutes before each dose to decrease the risk of nausea and vomiting. If you do not have nausea and vomiting after the first two cycles, your doctor may tell you not to take the other medication(s). All medications should be taken according to your doctor's instructions.

After taking a dose, do not take another. Do not miss your next dose.

For best results, take this medication regularly. Use it every day for the first 14 days of your treatment cycle to help you remember to take it.
